Changing the Math on Hunger Starts with You!

Once again, Food for the Bluegrass and CenterPointe are partnering to make an impact in our community by helping feed kids in Lexington.
Right now, 50% of children in Fayette County, KY face food insecurity.

How Can You Make a Difference?

Give us two hours of your time in 2026
Did you know that 10,000 meals can be packed in two hours? Our rockstar volunteers have done that and more every year since our first event in 2018. Dedicate just two hours of your time in 2026, and you’ll be counted among these incredible volunteers. Invite your friends, family, church, teammates, sorority, fraternity, coworkers, or anyone who likes to have a great time and wants to help kids in Fayette County.

*Any individual handling open ingredients will be required to wear gloves and a hairnet.

Donate Toward Meals
If you can’t donate your time, please consider donating meals. Our goal is to pack 10k meals, which takes $10,000. Meals are distributed through Fayette County’s Backpack Program through Centerpointe and other partnering agencies.

Important Info:
Each packing station can accommodate up to 12 volunteers, and we’ll do our best to keep groups together. Kids are welcome! The minimum age to participate is 5 years old.

Our goal is to create 10,000 meals for the 50% of children in our community who struggle with food insecurity on a daily basis.

• The event will take place at CenterPointe Christian Church located at 865 Greendale Rd., Lexington, KY 40511.
• Meals will be distributed through the CenterPointe Backpack Program and the Family Resource Centers throughout Fayette County.
• It takes at least 150 volunteers to make this event happen.
• $1 = 1 meal, so every dollar you invest will provide one meal to a child in Fayette County who struggles with hunger.

• An opportunity for your employees and their families to participate in a team-building, community service experience.

• Opportunity to place your corporate brochure, coupon or promotional item in the Pack the Bluegrass Swag Bags to be given to all event volunteers.
